PLANTASIA TROPICAL ZOO CELEBRATES AWARD SUCCESS AT THE WELSH HOSPITALITY AWARDS

We’re thrilled to share some fantastic news – Plantasia Tropical Zoo has been awarded Best Day Out at the 2025 Welsh Hospitality Awards! We were also recognised for Excellence in the overall Hospitality Champion of the Year category, which makes this achievement even more special.

These awards celebrate the very best in Welsh hospitality, and to be recognised alongside so many outstanding businesses is a real honour. For us, it’s more than just a trophy – it’s a reflection of the passion and dedication of our team, who combine education, conservation, and visitor experience every single day to make Plantasia Tropical Zoo a truly unique place to visit.

Celebrating Success Across Parkwood Leisure

We’d also like to send a huge congratulations to our Parkwood Leisure colleagues, who shone brightly on the night:

  • Parkwood Outdoors Dolygaer – Winner of Outdoor Activities of the Year

  • Plas Menai: The National Outdoor Centre – Outstanding Achievement in the Outdoor Venue of the Year category

  • Cardiff International Pool – Nominated in the Best Day Out category

It’s wonderful to see such recognition across the Parkwood Leisure family, showcasing the variety and quality of experiences available across Wales and beyond.

A Year of Achievements

This latest award follows a busy year of recognition for Plantasia Tropical Zoo. Earlier in 2025, we were Highly Commended in the Swansea Bay Business Awards – Innovative Business of the Year and Tourism & Leisure Business of the Year categories, and in May, we were delighted to be named a finalist in the ClubHub Awards – Attraction or Venue of the Year.

These accolades highlight the exciting journey we’re on – from bringing people closer to nature and sparking imaginations, to building a reputation as one of Wales’ must-visit attractions.
