Ride for the Rainforest!
A RAINFOREST RALLY!Join us this November as our team and friends of Plantasia Tropical Zoo embark on an incredible journey, cycling the distance from the East to the West of Ecuador—covering 409 miles over eight days throughout the weekends. We’re raising awareness and funds for Rainforest Concern, our chosen charity, to support their crucial work in protecting the world’s most biodiverse regions. As we pedal through this virtual challenge, we invite you to be part of our mission to preserve these vital ecosystems and the communities that depend on them.
Rainforest Concern’s projects in Colombia and Ecuador are making a real difference. They collaborate with local communities to plant native trees, support sustainable businesses, and provide environmental education to isolated rainforest schools. Additionally, they offer UK schools and companies the unique opportunity to Sponsor Acres of Rainforest or participate in their Forest Twinning project, helping to expand the Neblina Cloud Forest Reserve in NW Ecuador. The event will take place at Plantasia Tropical Zoo every Saturday and Sunday from 2nd to 24th November 2024—come along to support the cause and experience a slice of the rainforest right here in Swansea.
