UNLEASH YOUR CREATIVITY: DESIGN A TOP TRUMPS CARD FOR PLANTASIA TROPICAL ZOO’S 35TH ANNIVERSARY!
As part of our 35th anniversary celebration, Plantasia Tropical Zoo is offering a truly exciting opportunity for our youngest visitors. In collaboration with Top Trumps, we’re inviting children and teenagers to create their very own Top Trumps card in a once-in-a-lifetime design competition!
If you’re passionate about wildlife, fascinated by tropical plants, or love the prehistoric giants in our Giants of the Past installation, now is your chance to make your mark on history. You could even invent an entirely new creature from your imagination!
Your Chance to Design a Brand-New Top Trumps Card
From 22nd February to 2nd March 2025, creative minds aged 2-17 years old can take part in this special competition. We’re looking for the most imaginative, inspiring, and unique designs that reflect the wonder of nature – whether it’s based on an animal, a tropical plant, the zoo itself, or a creature straight from your imagination.
What’s up for grabs?
One winner from each age category will receive:
- A family ticket to Plantasia Tropical Zoo
- A pack of Plantasia Tropical Zoo Top Trumps cards
But that’s not all – the four winning designs will be shared on our social media channels for a public vote. The overall winner’s design will be transformed into a real, official Top Trumps card, becoming a special collectible prize for those who complete our Plantasia Trails. The grand prize winner will also be invited to the zoo to see their creation unveiled in person.
Age Categories
We’ll be choosing winners from four age categories:
- Ages 2-4
- Ages 5-7
- Ages 8-12
- Ages 13-17
How to Enter
- Visit Plantasia Tropical Zoo between 22nd February – 2nd March and pick up a design sheet during your visit.
- Create your masterpiece! Design a Top Trumps card based on:
- Your favourite animal from the zoo
- A tropical plant from our collection
- A prehistoric creature from our Giants of the Past installation
- Or even invent your own species
- Submit your entry by posting it in our Ani-mailbox near the Go Wild wall by 5pm on Sunday 2nd March 2025.
Remember, all entries must include your name, age, and contact details to be valid.
Important Dates
- Competition runs: 22nd February – 2nd March 2025
- Winning designs shared: 14th March 2025
- Overall winner announced: 21st March 2025
Terms and Conditions
- Open to residents of the British Isles, Eire, and the Channel Islands
- One entry per child
- Entrants must meet the age criteria for their category
- No cash alternatives for prizes
- Winners will be contacted directly and agree to participate in media activity related to the competition
- Personal details will only be used for prize distribution purposes
