REFLECTING ON A WILDLY WONDERFUL YEAR OF PLANTASIA ON THE ROAD
As 2024 draws to a close, we’re looking back on what has been an incredible year for Plantasia on the Road. Thanks to the amazing support of Admiral, we’ve had the privilege of taking our outreach programme to schools, community centres, shopping centres, big lunches, fresher’s fayres, and even major events like the Wales Air Show. It’s been a year full of adventure, education, and unforgettable moments, and we couldn’t be more grateful to everyone who made it possible.
What Is Plantasia on the Road?
Plantasia on the Road is our mobile outreach initiative designed to bring the magic of Plantasia Tropical Zoo to communities far and wide. Whether it’s a classroom, a community event, or a public gathering, we bring a selection of our fascinating animals and deliver interactive, hands-on learning experiences that delight and inspire people of all ages.
From the tiniest Madagascan hissing cockroach to the remarkable royal python, our animals have been the stars of the show, captivating audiences while teaching vital lessons about wildlife and conservation. Our mission is simple: to create happier communities and help prevent animal extinction by providing joyful and educational experiences.
A Year to Remember
This year, we’ve met thousands of people across Wales, sharing our passion for wildlife and conservation. Each outreach session has been unique, with hands-on activities and live demonstrations tailored to suit the audience. We’ve seen children’s faces light up as they met a bearded dragon for the first time, and we’ve had meaningful conversations with adults about how small actions can protect our planet’s future.
It’s not just about meeting the animals; it’s about connecting with nature and sparking curiosity. By bringing wildlife into classrooms and communities, we’ve made learning tangible, fun, and unforgettable.
Why Outreach Matters
Outreach programmes like Plantasia on the Road make it easier than ever to access educational experiences, particularly for those who may not be able to visit the zoo in person. They offer:
- Accessibility: We bring wildlife to you, reducing the need for travel.
- Customisation: Sessions can be tailored to fit specific curriculum needs or group interests.
- Engagement: Live discussions and animal interactions make learning lively and impactful.
It’s a cost-effective way to inspire curiosity and foster a love of nature, starting from just £195 per session.
Thank You for the Memories
This year wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible support of Admiral. Their generous support allowed us to reach more people than ever, spreading our conservation message far and wide. We’re so proud of what we’ve achieved together in 2024 and are excited to see how the seeds we’ve planted this year grow in the years to come.
Looking Ahead
As we reflect on a successful year, we’re reminded of how important it is to connect communities with nature. While we can’t predict the future, we remain committed to inspiring people to care for the world around them and to fostering a deeper understanding of the animals we share it with.
If you’ve been part of our Plantasia on the Road journey this year, thank you for helping us make it so special. Let’s keep working together to create happier communities and protect the future of wildlife!
